TRIP OF HONOR®

WASHINGTON D.C.

October 13-17, 2023

Let Us Honor You.

The nation's capitol memorializes the wars and service of our military men and women and is the perfect backdrop to honor all senior veterans. This four-night, five-day experience is free to our veterans; a small gift to say "thank you" for the freedoms we all enjoy.

On this trip, you'll join two dozen other veterans from all across the country. While they may come from different states, they will share very similar stories of service and sacrifice. By the end of the trip, you will feel like family and the burdens you've carried will feel a little lighter. It's truly an immersive and life-changing experience.

How This Trip Has Helped Other Veterans:

Ray V.

vietnam veteran, u.s. army

I thoroughly enjoyed talking to other Vietnam vets and hearing their stories. I made many new friends.  My wife joined me on this trip and it helped her understand what I went through by talking to other veterans and visiting the memorial sites. Ever since the trip, I am now having fewer nightmares and less stress and anxiety. I can truly say this was the best experience of my life.

Mary H.

VIETNAM ERA VETERAN, army nurse corps

I’ve dealt with a lingering sense of regret and shame that, after being all set to serve in Nam, I was unable to do so. I always felt like being counted among those who were actually in-country was a club I desperately wanted to be a part of but, as of no fault of my own, was unworthy to be. The complete and unquestioning acceptance by the combat vets on the trip has made me see how  unwarranted my insecurities about not going have been. This was the first time since I got out of the Army that I've ever been with a group almost exclusively made up of vets from the Nam era. Being with my contemporaries was a wonderful experience.

Thomas D.

Vietnam veteran, u.s. marines

Guess I was the typical Marine; you suck it up and keep going! So over the years you try and put what you saw and and had to do to the back of your mind. How Diane got us too open up and bond together in the first day and a half was unbelievable! We became a band of brothers. Having not met each other before this trip; we started talking to each other as if we had known each other all our lives! I was able to mention a few things I had never talked about before this trip! I know God has given Diane and her staff this special talent to help heal veterans through these special trips!
